Above: In what is probably one of the few existing photos of tall-globe lantern production, craftsmen sit at their workbenches making round-wire lantern frames.  In 1902, manufacturing practices involving hand-craftsmanship were still very prevalent.  In fact,  Henry Ford's first real assembly line was still over a decade in the future -- 1914.  To see close-ups of the two craftsmen closest to the photographer, click on the image above.  Right:  An M.M.
