Fancy duPont Car Lantern

The lantern shown on this page is an Adams & Westlake product which reportedly was used in the private rail car of the founder of the duPont Company. It is wall mounted, but the lantern itself can drop out of the bottom and be carried around. It is solid brass, and 16 inches tall. There are brass pins at the top and bottom that when removed allow the lantern to swivel back and forth from left to right. A lever when pulled allows the lamp to drop from the bottom of the wall mounted bracket and be carried around.
